I just received Trinity's newsletter and read about your mom. I am so sorry for your loss. Pat would call me once or twice a year: around Christmas and in the spring. She was a wonderful Christian woman who worked hard all of her life. She sings with the angels now. My heart goes out to you and your family and Pat's friends.

Dear Penrod-Kennedy family,
I was so sorry to hear Pat passed away. She was always so kind when I attended Trinity Lutheran Church in Wauseon growing up. We sang in choir together. When I read her obituary I see she continued to be active at Trinity and also in the community. Indeed she let Christ's light shine for all to see. Pat was my Friend from the time she was a Beautiful Little Girl. Our family lived on Oak Street less than 2 blocks from the Penrods and Patty would come to our house and play with my two little girls. I always said she came to "Play House". I would often ask Patty if she would want to stay while I did a quick errand. I would leave the house strewn with toys and return to find a clean house. Only recently Pat shared a story I"d not heard before. She was babysitting for Buffy and they were playing Hide and Seek. At one point Buffy was hiding so well she could not be found. Pat said she was getting frantic, not knowing where Buffy was. Finally upon examining the "clump" of afghans on the floor she realized INSIDE that clump was a Sleeping Buffy. All of us - Gwen, Kristi, Eric and Marty love Pat and will miss her greatly May God Bless and Comfort Margaret, Nick, Mike and Kristi.
