Thaddeus "Ted" John Nadolny

Thaddeus “Ted” Nadolny, age 81, of Toledo, passed away peacefully at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Toledo with his loving family by his bedside on Monday, September 11, 2023.  He was born in Toledo on April 5, 1942; one of three sons to Dominic Nadolny and Verna (Sekulski) Nadolny.   Always known as “Ted”, he graduated from Central Catholic High School and later attended Davis Business College.  On November 16, 1967 he married the love of his life, Jane Mann and were blessed with one son, Brian.  Ted worked as a dispatcher for several trucking companies throughout his career; including Interstate Trucking, Cooper-Jarrett and Consolidated Freightways.  He would later help with fairway mowing at Whiteford Valley Golf Club in Ottawa Lake, MI.  Ted enjoyed golfing with friends, woodworking and supporting The Ohio State football team.  Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 55 years, Jane Nadolny; son, Brian (Mara) Nadolny of Delta; sisters-in-law, Jean (Bob) Watson, Josephine (Don) Schuller and Joyce Mann; along with many loving nieces and nephews.  Ted was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Richard Nadolny and Raymond Nadolny; sister-in-law, Violet Nadolny; brother-in-law, John Mann and his faithful canine companions, “Tootsie”, “Boonie” and “Sarah”.  A Memorial Mass celebrating Ted’s life will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, September 18, 2023, at St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Catholic Church, 4201 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo Ohio 43614 with a luncheon to immediately follow at the Holy Family Center.  Internment will be alongside his family at Calvary Cemetery in Toledo.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution may be made to the Lucas County Humane Society, 827 Illinois Ave, Maumee, Ohio 43537 or Fulton County Humane Society, 22450 Co Rd F, Archbold, Ohio 43502 in Ted’s honor.  Online condolences may be sent to the family through our website at www.barnesfuneralchapel.com.
