Betty L. (Mock) Trowbridge

Betty L. Trowbridge, age 83, of Delta; with her family by her side passed away at Fulton Manor in Wauseon Friday night, May 4, 2018.  Betty was born in Liberty Center on October 19, 1934 to the late Cecil Mock and Clarabelle (Jaynes) Mock.   Betty graduated from Liberty Center High School in 1952 and later married John H. Trowbridge on February 15, 1953; who survives.  Before retiring she worked at Fulton Industries, Delta Feed Company and Imco Poultry.  Betty was an active member of the Zion United Methodist Church.  Some of her fondest hobbies included bowling, playing cards and cross word puzzles; but most of all Betty loved spending time with her family.  Along with her husband of 65 years, John; she is survived by her sons, John (Dawn) Trowbridge of Swanton and Robert (Amy) Trowbridge of Delta.  Brother, Larry (Judy) Mock of Liberty Center; sisters, Barbara (Charles) Lane of Swanton, Edith (Robert) Eberly of Montpelier and Shirley Ross of Swanton; grandchildren, Samantha (Randall) Reitz, Trena (Joshua) Shehorn, Mandy (Jeremy) Kern and Kami(Tony) Vasko; great grandchildren, Karyssa, Mykenna, Kalan, Kason, Danica and Riley.  Betty was preceded in death by her twin sister, Mary Lou Bressler, sister, Kathryn Vanskyock and brother, Jerry Mock.  Friends and family will be received from 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at Barnes Funeral Chapel, 5825 St Hwy 109, in Delta; with a funeral service honoring her life beginning at 10:00 AM on Wednesday also at the funeral home.  Pastor Donald Krieger will be officiating.  Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Delta.  In lieu of flowers, those wishing a show of sympathy are asked to consider contributions to Zion United Methodist Church, 4533 Co Rd 11, Wauseon, Ohio 43567, The Delta American Legion, 5939 St Hwy 109, Delta, Ohio 43515 or the Delta Fire Department, 500 East Main St., Delta, Ohio 43515 in Betty’s memory.  Online condolences may be sent to the family through our website at www.barnesfuneralchapel.com.
