Bonita M. Boulis, age 95, formerly a longtime resident of Delta and Abbington of Powell, OH, passed away peacefully early Tuesday morning, February 12, 2013 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.  She was born in McClure, OH on January 5, 1918 to the late Clem Brown and Lola (Frazier) Brown.  Bonita married Vernon C. Boulis and enjoyed many years of love until his passing in 2003.  She worked many years as a clerk at Jerry’s Market Grocery Store in Delta.  Bonita enjoyed volunteering at the Fulton County Health Center and was a member of the Delta American Legion Auxiliary.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Cecil and Warren Brown and sister, Jean Bower.  Left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Sandy (Scott) Haynes of Powell; grandchildren, Todd (Terri) Shidaker of Florida and Trent (Layne) Shidaker of Texas; 8 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.  Friends will be received from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM on Friday, February 15, 2013 at Barnes Funeral Chapel, 5825 St Hwy 109, Delta, Ohio 43515; where a funeral service honoring Bonita’s life will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday.  Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Delta.  Pastor Jay Miklovic will be officiating.  Those wishing a show of sympathy are asked to consider contributions to the Delta American Legion, 5939 St Hwy 109, Delta, Ohio 43515, Delta United Methodist Church, 101 Northwood Dr., Delta, Ohio 43515 or The Open Door, 104 Monroe St., Delta, Ohio 43515 in her memory.  Please visit www.barnesfuneralchapel.com to send condolences to Bonita’s family.
