Jerald H. Evans

Jerald H. Evans, age 68, of Bryan and former longtime resident of Delta, passed away Monday afternoon, January 29, 2018 at the Fulton County Health Center in Wauseon.  He was born in Napoleon on December 12, 1949 to the late David W. Evans and Audrey (Smith) Evans and was a graduate of Delta High School.  Jerald enjoyed raising and caring for farm animals and was an avid movie watcher, especially his westerns.  He also read magazines and loved his Hershey candy kisses and Pepsi.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Audrey Garrow and Marlene Beach and brother, Roger Evans.  He is survived by his brother, Bill (Elvira) Evans of Chapel Hill, Texas; sister, Janice Evans; brother-in-law, Art Garrow; sister-in-law, Sandy Evans and thirty-one loving nieces and nephews.  Family and friends will be received from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Barnes Funeral Chapel, 5825 St. Hwy. 109 in Delta.  A Mass of Resurrection for Jerald will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 2, 2018 at St. Richard Catholic Church, 333 Brookside Dr., Swanton, Ohio 43558.  Fr. Adam Hertzfeld will be officiating.  Interment will follow at St. Richard’s Cemetery in Swanton.  Those wishing an expression of sympathy are asked to consider contributions to Hands of Grace 104 Monroe St. Suite 2, Delta, Ohio 43515 or Horizon Apartments, 617 N.
