Ronald “Bud” Griesinger, age 57, of Napoleon, passed away unexpectedly Friday evening, September 21, 2018 in Napoleon. He was born in Wauseon on May 21, 1961 to the late Charles Griesinger and Ella (Bovie) Ward who survives. He graduated from Delta High School in 1979; where he was NWOAL All Conference as Defense Tackle in 1978 and also a member of the FFA. Later he married Billie Hawkins who survives. Bud worked for Campbell Soup Company for over 28 years; was a member of the Delta Eagles and enjoyed being an outdoorsman while fishing, hunting and gardening. Bud will always be remembered for his “famous ribs” and being a giving person. Along with his mother, Ella and wife, Billie; sisters, Pat King, Sandra (Alex) Howard and Charlene (Gary) Hurst; brothers, Richard (Cheryl) Griesinger; Robert Griesinger; step-mother Ruth Griesinger; step-sister, Rhonda (Toby) Hines; he is also survived by his step-daughters, Jennifer McCabe, Billie Watkins and Angela Cauldwell; and step-grandchildren, Airyonna McCabe, Brantley Scott, Kayla Kephart, Kara Harden, Joe Cauldwell; Paisley Watkins and many nieces and nephews. Bud was preceded in death by his father, Charles; sisters, Michelle Neuenschwander; Jackie Baters; and step-brother, Carl Jones. Friends will be received from 10 AM to 12 PM on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Barnes Funeral Chapel, 5825 St. Hwy. 109 in Delta; with a memorial service celebrating Bud’s life beginning at 12:00 Noon on Saturday; also at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those wishing a show of sympathy are asked to consider contributions to a charity of the donor’s choice in his memory.
