Alexander J. Torok, age 93, of Delta, passed away Saturday, September 1, 2012 at Swanton Health Care. He was born in Windber, PA on February 24, 1919 to the late Valentine Torok and Barbara (Krynak) Torok. Alexander was a WWII Veteran having served in the 1st Cavalry Division of the U.S. Army and earning the rank of Sergeant. Before retiring he worked at Midland Ross in Cleveland and later at Acklin Stamping in Toledo. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice in 1998 and siblings, John and Val Torok; along with sisters, Marg, Lois and Dorothy. Alexander is survived by his daughter, Barbara (Robert) Johnson of Kentucky and William (Kimberly) Torok of Delta and grandchildren, Jason and Nichole Torok and Robert Johnson. Friends and family will be received from 5-8 PM on Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at Barnes Funeral Chapel, 5825 St. Hwy. 109, in Delta; with the Rosary being recited at 8:00 PM. Prayers will begin in the funeral home at 9:00 AM on Wednesday followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Richard Catholic Church, 333 Brookside Dr. in Swanton; with interment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Maumee.
