Anna L. Gillingham, age 89, passed away Christmas morning, December 25, 2012 at her home in Delta.  She was born May 12, 1923 in Delta to the late Samuel Knapp and Mary (Bumpus) Knapp.  On August 17, 1940, Anna married Carl Gillingham and they shared 67 years together until his passing in 2008.  She worked for Champion Spark Plug and later for Wauseon Manufacturing where she served 25 years before retiring.  Anna is survived by her sons, Jerry Gillingham of West Unity and Ronald (Bonnie) Gillingham of Wauseon; brothers, Paul (Wendy) Knapp, Samuel (Shirley) Knapp and Robert (Carol) Knapp; special care takers, Terry (Lupe) Rosales; six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; three step grandchildren; and many step great grandchildren.  In addition to her husband Carl, She was preceded in death by her daughter, Carol A. Gillingham, sisters, Thelma Cline, Dorothy Haushe, Grace Knapp and Fern Nash; brother, George Knapp and great granddaughter, Jessica Gillingham. Friends and family may visit from 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Friday, December 28, 2012 at Barnes Funeral Chapel, 5825 St. Hwy. 109 in Delta; where a funeral service for Anna will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday.  Pastor Chuck Whitmire will be officiating.  Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Delta.  Those wishing an expression of sympathy are asked to consider contributions to the Delta United Methodist Church, 101 Northwood Dr., Delta, OH 43515 or Shiloh Christian Union Church, 2100 Co Rd 5, Delta, OH 43515 in her memory.  Online condolences may be sent to the family through our website at www.barnesfuneralchapel.com.
