Carolyn Marie Foster, age 88 of Swanton, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday afternoon, April 19, 2012 at the Genoa Care Center in Genoa.  She was born in Wapakoneta, OH on March 22, 1924 to the late Albert Hartard and Victoria (Schneider) Hartard.  Along with her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Foster in 1993; brother, James Hartard and sister, Alice Hartard.  She is survived by her loving son, Leland Foster of Swanton and sister, Norma Jean (Walter) Howell of Marietta, OH.  Carolyn was a lifelong homemaker.  During the last few years she was active with the Hands of Grace Senior Center and made new friends.  She will always be remembered as a loving wife and a caring mother. There will be no public visitation or service.  Interment will be private for the family.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Barnes Funeral Chapel, 5825 St Hwy 109 in Delta.  Those wishing an expression of sympathy are asked to consider contributions to the Hands of Grace, 104 Monroe St., Suite 2, Delta, Ohio 43515 in Carolyn's memory.
