Catharina R. Seitzinger, age 88, of Wauseon and formerly of Griffith, IN, passed away on her birthday at Swanton Valley Care Center on July 25, 2014 surrounded by her loving family.  She was born July 25,, 1926 in Gary, IN to the late James and Stella Martin.  On July 29, 1956, she married Robert L. Seitzinger.  Catharina received her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Indiana University.  She was a member of Oasis Christian Fellowship of Wauseon and First Christian Church in Griffith, IN.  Catharina also served as a past president of the Lake County Association of the Blind.  She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Robert; children, Roger (Kim) Seitzinger, Robyn (Louie) Weber, Kevin (Courtney) Seitzinger, and Chris (Woody) Bowers; eleven grandchildren and one great grandson.  In addition to her parents, Catharina was preceded in death by her brothers, Frank, Robert, John and Earnest Martin.  Assisting with arrangements is Barnes Funeral Chapel, 5825 St Hwy 109 in Delta.  Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Rd., Highland, IN 46322 will conduct complete services in Indiana.  Interment will be at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville, IN.  A local memorial service will be announced at a later time.  Those wishing a show of sympathy are asked to consider contributions to Oasis Christian Fellowship, 400 Enterprise Dr., Wauseon, Ohio 43567 in her memory.  Online condolences may be sent to the family through our website at www.barnesfuneralchapel.com.
