Charles A. Smith, age 67, of Wauseon, passed away unexpectedly at the Fulton County Health Center Saturday evening, November 10, 2012. He was born in Findlay on July 22, 1945 to the late Rollie W. Smith and Litha (Risner) Smith-Notage. Charles was a 1963 graduate of Napoleon High School. On October 24, 1981 he married Stephanie Hendricks and she survives. Charles was a Vietnam Veteran having served with the U.S Marines. He most recently worked at Bunting Bearings in Delta and later with Haas Door in Wauseon before his retirement. Charles enjoyed hunting, fishing, a good meal and supporting his Oakland Raiders and OSU Buckeyes. Most of all he, loved playing with his grandchildren and quality time with his family. In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his infant brother, Donnie Smith. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Stephanie; children, Brad Smith, Jason Smith, Brittany (Aaron) Stewart, Tony (Corey) Smith, Lisa (Steve) Bommerato, Tamara Michaels and Melissa Rehus; brothers, Arthor "Cork" (Kathy Smith and Kenny Smith; sisters, Norma (Major) Moore and Virginia Huner; 14 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Friends and family will be received from 10:00 – 11:00 AM on Friday, November 16, 2012 in the chapel at Crossroads Evangelical Church, 845 E. Leggett St., Wauseon, Ohio 43567; with a memorial service for Charles beginning at 11:00 AM on Friday. Arrangements are entrusted to Barnes Funeral Chapel, 5825 St. Hwy. 109, in Delta.
