Charles Christopher Wolford, age 68 of Delta, surrounded by his loving family, passed away at his home on Saturday morning. April 4, 2015. He was born in Findlay, OH on May 5, 1946 to the late Charles Breidigan and Dorothy (Cornwell) Wolford. Chris was a 1965 graduate of Delta High School. On May 8, 1965 he was united in marriage to Sharon Williams and together shared 50 years. Before retiring Chris worked for the General Motors Company for 33 years. He was a member of the Delta Eagles. Chris enjoyed caring for his grandchildren and loved following them and his sons in various school sports. Some of his fondest hobbies included fishing, raising fruit trees and gardening. He is survived by his wife, Sharon; sons, Jeffrey (Jenny) Wolford of Delta, Michael (Heather) Wolford of Montgomery, MI and Benjamin Wolford of Lockport, IL; grandchildren, Jarret, Jade, Jaccob, Jorrdyn and Jerremiah Wolford and siblings, Joe, Dawn and Beverly Wolford. Friends will be received on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Barnes Funeral Chapel, 5825 St. Hwy. 109 in Delta. A memorial service celebrating his life will begin at 11:00 AM on Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, 410 Taylor St., Delta, Ohio 43515. Interment will be private. Pastor Eric Markovich will be officiating.
