Dale W. Laver, age 98, of Toledo, passed away Tuesday morning, October 30, 2012 at Flower Hospital. He was born in Delta on November 28, 1913 to the late Ben Wiseman and Orpha (Morr) Wiseman. Dale was a graduate of Delta High School. During WWII he served in the U.S Army and received a purple heart when wounded in France shortly after D-Day. After the war, Dale worked as a postal clerk; from where he retired. He is survived by his son, Willard L. Laver of Toledo and sister, Ruby Sprague. Dale was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine (Hollinger) Laver; one brother and four sisters. Services will be private. Interment will be at Winameg Cemetery near Delta. Arrangements have been entrusted to Barnes Funeral Chapel, 5825 St. Hwy. 109 in Delta.
