Donell "Sam" Mendenhall, age 64, of Delta, passed away at Swanton Valley Care Center late Wednesday evening, October 17, 2012.  She was born in Columbus, Ohio on April 30, 1948, to the late Walter Mendenhall Jr. and Betty (Laird) Mendenhall.  Sam was the owner and operator of the former Inheritance Antique Store in Maumee.  Some of her fondest hobbies included socializing with friends, supporting her Miami Dolphins football team, watching old movies and of course going "junkin" and antiquing.  Sam was very much a pet lover and enjoyed raising Havanese dogs.  She is survived by her son, Brandon (Nicole) Loboschefski of Maumee; daughter, Amber (Scott) Schmid of Dayton; special friend, Rachel Schnur of Delta; brother, Larry Mendenhall of Sunbury, OH; grandchildren, Paige and Caleb Loboschefski and Alexander and Cameron Schmid; and her faithful canine companions, "Truffles" and "Sammy D".  Friends will be received on Saturday, October 20, 2012 from 2-5 PM at Barnes Funeral Chapel, 5825 St. Hwy. 109, Delta, Ohio 43515.  A memorial service celebrating Sam's life will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday at the funeral home.  Pastor David Rison will be officiating.  Those wishing a show of sympathy are asked to consider contributions to Heartland Hospice, 3450 W.
