Doris C. Andrews, age 97, of Wauseon, went home to be with the Lord early Thursday morning, December 20, 2012 at The Lutheran Home in Napoleon. She was born November 15, 1915 in Fulton County to the late Byron and Cora (Gray) Davidson. She married George W. Andrews on April 26, 1933 and celebrated 55 years of marriage prior to his death in 1988. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Wauseon and the Ruth Dorcas Circle. Doris worked at McCord Manufacturing Co. for 33 years, retiring in 1982. Doris loved her family and friends, spending much of her time keeping in touch with all of them, always looking for ways she could help! Surviving are her daughters, Beverly (Kenneth) Upell of Liberty Center, Barbara Denny of Paulding and Linda (David) Armstrong of Wauseon; son, George Gary Andrews of Wauseon; 19 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren and 20 great great grandchildren; sister, Lois Biddle of Wauseon; brother, Lawrence Davidson of Liberty Center and son-in-law, Larry Seiler of Grand Rapids, OH. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents; daughter, Bonnie Seiler; sisters, Gladys Wentz, Alice Denn and Neva Palmer; brother, Dale Davidson; daughter-in-laws, Cindy (Westfall) and Ila Mae (Valentine) Andrews; son-in-law, Steven Denny and granddaughter, Pam Pickering. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at Barnes Funeral Chapel, 5825 St. Hwy. 109 in Delta. A public graveside service will be held prior to the service at Wauseon Union Cemetery on Sunday at 12 Noon; with a memorial service being held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 398 S. Shoop Ave, Wauseon, OH 43567 beginning at 2:00 PM. Pastors Keith Hunsinger and Jennifer Herrmann will be officiating.
