Eleanor E. Mickens, age 92, of Bluffton, OH and formerly of Toledo, passed away at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima on Tuesday, February 14, 2012. She was born in Toledo on January 3, 1920 to the late Lines Jacobs and Mable (Roberts) Jacobs. In 1937 she married Clarence Mickens and he preceded her in death in 1986. Eleanor enjoyed playing games with her friends; especially bingo. She was also an avid reader and an animal lover, with a special fondness for cats. Eleanor was a longtime member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses - East Congregation in Lima. She is survived by her daughter, Elaine (Ralph) Haton of Delta; grandchildren, Brian Haton and Steven (Leslie) Haton; great grandchildren, Clinton, Kyle, Sarah, Adam, Samuel, Emily and Torie; great great grandchildren, Joselyn and Gavin and nieces, Denise Large and Linda Lovett. Along with her parents and husband, Eleanor was preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy Munger and brother, Bobby Jacobs. A memorial service for Eleanor will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, February 26, 2012 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses - East Congregation, 1401 S. Sugar St., in Lima. Arrangements are entrusted to Barnes Funeral Chapel, 5825 St. Hwy. 109, Delta; OH. Interment will be at Restlawn Memorial Park in Perrysburg, OH. Those wishing a show of sympathy are asked to consider contributions to a charity of the donor's choice in Eleanor's memory.
