Esma D. (Wanless) Meech, age 86 of Napoleon, passed away Thursday evening, November 15, 2012 at the Golden Living Center in Napoleon. She was born in Henry County on March 19, 1926 to the late Stanford Moore and Mazie (Smith) Moore. Esma retired from Campbell Soup Co. Some of her fondest hobbies were playing computer games, connecting with family and friends on Facebook, gardening, gambling and going to garage sales. Along with her parents, Esma was preceded in death by her first husband, Donald Wanless; second husband, Lester Meech; daughters, Shirley Ellen and Vicki Lynn Wanless; brothers, Elvin Moore and Glen Moore; grandchildren, Michelle L. Bittinger, Carl T. Knapp and Donald E. Wanless; and great grandson, Curtis Bittinger. She is survived by her children, Bonnie (Robert) Bittinger, Donna (Jerry) Meyer, Larry (Judy) Wanless, Janet (Doug) Dickman, Mike (Jackie) Wanless, Steve Wanless; sister, Cecil Burkett of Colton; sister-in-law, Bernice Moore of Liberty Center; 16 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren; and loving nieces and nephews. There will be no public visitation. A public graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on November 23, 2012 at Mohler Cemetery near Co Rd 6 and Co Rd U-4 in Colton, OH. In lieu of flowers, those wishing a show of sympathy are asked to consider contributions to the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Barnes Funeral Chapel, 5825 St Hwy 109 in Delta.
