Evelyn M. Langenderfer, age 88, of Delta, passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, July 10, 2016.  She was born in Port Clinton, OH on February 18, 1928 to the late Delbert Osterhout and Luella (Harris) Osterhout.  On December 15, 1972 she married Robert "Red" Langenderfer, who survives.  Evelyn worked for Fulton Tubing for over 25 years.  She enjoyed making crafts, but most of all spending time with her family and grandchildren.  Along with her husband, she is survived by her children, Sandra (Mike) Tracy of Delta, Rebecca Wade of Swanton, Cynthia (Robert) Collins of Delta and Brenda (Ronald) Burkheimer of Swanton; step-daughters, Rose Marie Hazel, Diane (David) Tressler and Christine Langenderfer; brother, Don Eicher; sister, Betty Demming; eleven grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren, nine great great grandchildren and many loving step-grandchildren.  Evelyn was preceded in death by her infant son, Jack Whitaker; daughter, Carlotta Rhea Galbraith; son-in-law, Paul Wade; brothers, William, Harley and Floyd Osterhout and sister, Clara Hill.  Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at Barnes Funeral Chapel, 5825 St Hwy 109 in Delta; where a funeral service celebrating Evelyn's life will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday.  Pastor Bob May will be officiating.  Interment will follow at Raker Cemetery in Delta.  Those wishing a show of sympathy are asked to consider contributions to a charity of the donor's choice in her memory.  Online condolences may be sent to the family through our website at www.barnesfuneralchapel.com.
