Howard E. Saul, age 85, of Wauseon, passed away at his home early Monday morning, October 1, 2012.  He was born on October 20, 1926 in Hamler, OH to the late Charles F. Saul and Maud (Karg) Saul.  He was a 1944 graduate of Delta High School and on March 25, 1951 married Marlene Palmer, who survives.  Howard and his wife Marlene are members of Christ United Methodist Church in Wauseon.  He was also a member of the Fulton County Farm Bureau and Wauseon Masonic Lodge #349.  Howard was a lifetime farmer; while working part time during the off season at the Fulton County Auditor's Office and Fulton Industries.  Some of his fondest hobbies included poetry, playing the harmonica, billiards and traveling to Texas; he will always be remembered as having a great sense of humor and a jokester.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by ten siblings and a great grandson, Aiden.  He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Marlene; children, Roger (Nancy) Saul of Bellefontaine, OH, Teresa (Norm) Wasielewski of Lambertville, MI, Leon (Jill) Saul of Rockford, IL and Wayne Saul (Sherry Garrison) of Swanton; 13 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and one great great grandson.  Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Monday, October 8, 2012 at Barnes Funeral Chapel, 5825 St Hwy 109 in Delta; where a funeral service honoring Howard's life will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 AM.  Pastor Ruth Ann Scoby will be officiating.  Interment will follow at Wauseon Union Cemetery.  Those wishing a show of sympathy are asked to consider contributions to Christ United Methodist Church, 215 N.
