James E. Lehman Sr., age 76, of Waterville, passed away peacefully March 10, 2013 at Ebeid Hospice in Sylvania. He was born in Lancaster, OH on October 19, 1936 to the late Carl Lehman and Thelma (Primrose) Lehman. Jim met the love of his life, Judy Hill as a young teenager and they were united in marriage on January 18, 1958. Judy passed away on January 2, 2008, 16 days prior to their 50 year anniversary. Jim was a U.S Army Veteran serving from 1956 – 1962. He worked as an engineer at Anchor Hocking in Lancaster from 1971 – 1989 and retired from Owens Illinois Corporation in Perrysburg in 2004. Some of his fondest hobbies included; listening to local bands, jazz and other forms of music, socializing with friends and family and watching football and NASCAR with friends. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. Jim is survived by his children, Sherry (Tom) Harvey of Columbus, James E. (Vicki) Lehman Jr. of Lancaster, Cynthia (Todd) Cartt and Michael Lehman of Waterville; brother, Jerry (Pam) Lehman of Lancaster; sister, Linda Lehman of Lancaster; and grandchildren, Erika Harvey, Nicholas Harvey, Lauren Harvey, Ryan Lehman, Jennifer Lehman, Alisha Barrett, Jeffrey Barrett, Hailey Cartt and Michaela Lehman. Arrangements have been entrusted to Barnes Funeral Chapel, 5825 St Hwy 109 in Delta. In honoring Jim's wishes, there will be no public services.
