Janet M. Lajiness, age 77, of Delta, passed away peacefully March 19, 2013 at Northcrest Golden Living Center in Napoleon. She was born in Delta on February 20, 1936 to the late Thomas Foreman and Loretta (Knapp) Foreman. Janet was a graduate of Durango High School class of 1955 in Colorado. She later married George L. Lajiness and he preceded her in death. Janet worked as an auditor for Fulton Tubing in Archbold for 26 years until her retirement. She was a member of the Delta United Methodist Church, the Delta Eagles, Delta American Legion Auxiliary and the Winameg Sportman's Club. She is survived by her brother, Clifford (Marilyn) Foreman of Swanton; half sister, Joyce Bailey of Delta and half brother, Roger (Jane) Thierry of Delta. Arrangements have been entrusted to Barnes Funeral Chapel, 5825 St Hwy 109 in Delta. In honoring Janet's wishes, there will be no public services. Private interment will be at Mohler Cemetery near Colton, OH.
