Jeannine M. Bauman, age 86, of Delta, with her loving family by her side passed away at Community Health Professional Inpatient Hospice in Defiance on Friday evening July 29, 2016.   She was born in Toledo, OH on August 7, 1929 to the late Clarence Schutt and Vera (Loar) Schutt.  Jeannie graduated from DeVilbiss High School.  On October 12, 1947 she married Donald W. Bauman and enjoyed many loving years together until his passing on May 24, 2004.  Described as having a loving personality; Jeannie was a homemaker throughout her life and very active the Delta American Legion, Delta Eagles, American Red Cross Blood Donation Program; enjoyed spending time at the Delta Library and was a past member of the Delta Park Board.  Some of her early enjoyments included traveling to Florida in the winter with her husband Don and bowling.  Later she enjoyed reading, crocheting, walking but most of all spending time with her family and grandchildren.  Jeannie is survived by her daughters, Vicky (Larry) Casteel of Defiance and Joyce (Bob) Williams of Centerville, OH; son, Jim (Denise) Bauman of Wauseon; grandchildren, Tammy (Mike) Scherer, Cyndi Raker, Joe (Kim) Raker, Michelle (Bill) Conroy, Jodi (Matt) Hackworth, Marc (Krissie) Williams, Craig (Mindy) Williams, Brett (Beth) Bauman and Karlee Bauman; 14 great grandchildren and many loving friends.  Friends and family will be received from 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM on Friday, August 5, 2016 at Barnes Funeral Chapel, 5825 St. Hwy. 109 in Delta; where a memorial service celebrating Jeannie's life will begin at 2:00 PM on Friday.  Rev. Teresa Wenrick will be officiating.  Private interment will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Delta.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Delta Public Library, 402 Main St., Delta Ohio 43515 or the Delta American Legion, 5939 St Hwy 109, Delta, Ohio 43515 in her memory.  Online condolences may be sent to the family through our website at www.barnesfuneralchapel.com.
