Jesse D. Harshbarger Sr., age 66, of Swanton, OH and originally North Adams, MI, passed away unexpectedly on October 24, 2012 at his home. He was born on October 29, 1945 to the late Pastor Earl Harshbarger Sr. of North Adams Baptist Church and Mary (Forcey) Harshbarger. Jesse was a data processor for Tri Nova Corp. before his retirement. He was an Army Veteran having served during the Vietnam War. Jesse will always be remembered as being meticulous about his yard, landscaping and vehicles. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Paul Harshbarger; sister, Rosaley Bowser and his faithful canine companion of 15 years, "Cody". Jesse is survived by his children, Laurie Harshbarger of Jackson, MI, Tammie Harshbarger of Colorado and Jesse Harshbarger Jr., of Virginia; brothers, Earl (Jeanette) Harshbarger of Michigan, Eric (Diane) Harshbarger of Arizona; sister, Grace (Dan) Esterline of Wisconsin; ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren. A memorial service celebrating Jesse's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at Cambria Baptist Church, 2772 Lilac Rd., Hillsdale, MI 49242. Arrangements are entrusted to Barnes Funeral Chapel, 5825 St. Hwy. 109, in Delta, OH 43515. Pastor Dan Esterline will be officiating.
