John Albert Bahus, age 83, of Swanton, passed away on Friday, October 19, 2018.

He was born in Swanton on November 21, 1934 to the late Andrew & Julianna (Bakos) Bahus, Sr.  He married Caroline Fisher on January 26, 1962.  An Air Force Veteran, John served as an intelligence officer serving his country from 1954 - 1958.  He was a 1952 graduate of Swanton H.S., was employed by the Little Dude Trailer Co. in Delta for over 22 years, served as maintenance supervisor of Gesu Catholic Church for 19 years retiring in 2006.  John was also a 50 yr. member of the Knights of Pythias and a member of the Delta American Legion.  Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 56 years, Caroline; son, Eric (Julia) Bahus and brother, James (Sumie) Bahus.  He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Andrew Bahus and sister, Margaret Johnson.  In keeping with John's wishes, there will be no public visitation.  A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, October 26, 2018 at 10 A.M. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 2649 US Hwy 20, Swanton, Ohio.  Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the St. Jude's Children Hospital.  Arrangements were entrusted to Barnes Funeral Chapel, 5825 St. Hwy. 109, Delta, Ohio 43515.  Online condolences may be sent to the family through our website at www.barnesfuneralchapel.com
