Peggy Jane Krieger, age 87, of Delta, peacefully passed away Monday morning, January 4, 2016 at Swanton Valley Care Center. Peggy was born in Toledo on February 1, 1928 to the late Robert J. Todd and Florence (Pierce) Todd.   She graduated in 1946 from Whitney High School in Toledo.  Peggy married Robert E. Mattin and together were blessed with five children.  After the early passing of Robert in 1959; she later married James D. Krieger; who also preceded her in death.  While raising her family, Peggy had several places of employment including, the Delta Twist-T-Freez, Delta Laundromat and a teller with First Federal Bank of Delta.  In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her sons, Roger D. and Ronald D. Mattin; daughter, Vickey Mattin; sister, Jean Meyer and brothers, Jackson and Robert Todd.  Peggy is survived by her sons, Gene H. Mattin and Robert T. Mattin, Sr. both of Delta; ten grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Spetz of Oregon, OH.   Friends and family will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at Barnes Funeral Chapel, 5825 St. Hwy. 109 in Delta; where a funeral service honoring Peggy's life will begin at 10:00 AM on Friday, also at the funeral home.  Pastor Teresa Wenrick will be officiating.  Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Delta.  In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association in her memory.  Online condolences may be sent to the family through our website at www.barnesfuneralchapel.com.
