Roger A. Morr, age 82, of Delta, passed away Wednesday evening, January 21, 2026, under hospice care at Fulton Manor in Wauseon. He was born June 14, 1943, to the late Gerald D. Morr and Doris (Mullholand) Morr. Roger lived in Grand Rapids, Ohio, from 1943 to 1954, before moving to the Morr homestead in Delta, Ohio. He spent the remainder of his life as a Delta resident. On June 14, 1964, Roger married the love of his life, Diane Kay Norris, at Raker Church in Delta, Ohio. Together, they shared 61 years of marriage. Roger was a graduate of Delta High School, where he earned the State Farmer Degree and was selected as the State Star Grain Farmer. He received eight varsity letters in athletics and qualified for the state high school track meet twice. While still in high school, Roger farmed the 80-acre Morr homestead, raising beef cattle and swine. He served in the 983rd U.S. Army Reserves from 1966 to 1972, attaining the rank of Sergeant. Roger later graduated from the Ohio Savings and Loan League Academy. He devoted more than 39 years of service to First Federal of Delta and faithfully served York Township as clerk for 27 years. Roger was a dedicated member of the Delta Community Fire Department for 42 years, retiring as First Assistant Chief. A lifelong servant of both faith and community, Roger was an active member of Hope Church of Delta, where he served on numerous committees, sang in the choir, and taught Sunday School. He was a proud member of the Swanton Rotary Club, maintaining 22 years of perfect attendance, serving as past president, and earning the distinction of Paul Harris Fellow. Roger also gave generously of his time through public service, including nine years on the Delta Library Board, eight years on the Pike-Delta-York Board of Education, and ten years on the Savings and Loan Education Board of Toledo Chapter 16, serving as president of each board and an active member of the Delta American Legion Post #373; serving the last years as chaplain. His commitment to community extended further through service on the Fulton County 911 Commission, the Fulton County Revolving Loan Fund Board, the Fulton County Incentive Review Board, the Delta Industrial Development Corporation, the Fulton County Republican Central Committee, and the Fulton County Regional Planning Commission, where he served as the first treasurer. For more than 12 years, Roger enjoyed coaching his children's Little League, Pony League, and Acme League baseball teams, their adult softball teams, and his daughter's softball team. Nothing brought him greater joy than watching his children participate in their many activities. In retirement, Roger especially cherished "growing up with his grandchildren," including their annual trips to Round Lake and Devil's Lake, Michigan. He was a devoted fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Indians. Volunteerism remained central to Roger's life. He continued to serve God and others through Hope Church, as a member of the TOCKA Kairos Prison Ministry team, assisting the Toledo Gospel Rescue Mission in obtaining funding for new windows and community outreach bringing people to Christ through Revive Ohio. Roger is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Diane Morr; sons Gregory Morr and Stephen (Meggan) Morr; daughter Jennifer (Michael) Mullholand; brother Col. Brian (Ann) Morr; grandchildren Mitchell and Mason Mullholand, Kenedie and Kamryn Morr, Riley and Alana Morr; and many close family and friends. Family and friends are invited to gather from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at Barnes Funeral Chapel and Crematory, 5825 State Highway 109, Delta, Ohio; with an American Legion service at 7:30 PM. A funeral service celebrating Roger's life will be held at Hope Church of Delta, 101 Northwood Drive, Delta, Ohio 43515, beginning at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 30, 2026, with Pastor Kent Winkler officiating.
