Tessa Rae Osterhout, age 25, of Sylvania and formerly of Delta, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, August 12, 2021 at her Sylvania home.  She was born in Wauseon on February 22, 1996 to Jeffrey Osterhout and Shannon Tanner.  Tessa was a 2014 graduate of Delta High School; where she was known for her competitive spirit in various sports, including, bowling, softball and volleyball, receiving all league and district honors in volleyball.  She was crowned homecoming queen her senior year of high school.  Even at York School in Delta, Tessa was State Champ in free throws with the Elk's Hoop Shoot competition.  She was recently pursuing her degree at BGSU and enjoyed working out and traveling; especially to Jamaica.  Tessa was an accomplished singer and guitar player enjoying various forms of music; as like her father, "louder the better".  Tessa even went to the length of trying out for American Idol.  Always having a giving heart, Tessa often looked to rescue pets and will be missed by her two feline companions, Ari and Rori.  Left to cherish her loving memory is her mother, Shannon (Gene) Burkholder; father, Jeff (Joy) Osterhout; brother, Tyson (Jenna) Andrews; sisters, Lyndsay (Robert) Guthrie III and Abby (Christopher) Newton; grandparents, Charlotte Osterhout, Sharon Dennis and Dale (Rhonda) Tanner; fiancée, Connor Lehman; loving nieces and nephews, Hank, Jack, Mille, Robbie, Brielle and Gabriel; along with her many friends.  Tessa was preceded in death by her grandfathers, William "Bill" Osterhout, Dale Dennis; and nephew, Gavin Newton.  Friends and family will be received from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Monday, August 16, 2021 at Barnes Funeral Chapel , 5825 St. Hwy. 109 in Delta. A funeral service celebrating Tessa's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 also at the funeral home.  Pastor Mayann Reimund will be officiating.  Interment will be private for the family.  In lieu of flowers, those wishing a show of sympathy may consider a memorial contribution to the Panther Athletics Club, 504 Fernwood St, Delta, Ohio 43515 or your local humane society in her memory and name.  Online condolences may be sent to the family through our website at www.barnesfuneralchapel.com
