Obituary

Virgil Ray Gibson, age 51, of Delta, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, July 21, 2016.  He was born in Pineville, KY on December 9, 1964 to Jewell (Bain) Trusty.  Virgil attended Delta High School and worked as a drywall finisher. He always was known to be a hard worker and always went out of his way to help others. He enjoyed shooting pool, playing basketball and spending time with family and friends, especially his children and his dog "Rocko". Along with his mother, he is survived by his father, Logan "Dwight" Trusty; five children, Shannon Padgett, Meika Gibson, Levi Jackson, Brandon Ray Gibson and Natasha Gibson; five grandchildren, Devin, Dylan, Adrianna, Paisely and Alyssa; one sister, Drema (David) Shultz; one brother, Thomas (Kelly) Gibson; one grandmother, Genoia Kinnaird; his significant other, Regina Gill and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.  A memorial service for Virgil will take place at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 25, 2016 at Victory Chapel Church, U722 Co Rd 8 in Liberty Center. Pastor Chuck Whitmire and Pastor Don Ross will be officiating. The family would like to invite everyone to The Bunker, on Eber Road in Holland, OH 43528 at 12:30 PM following the service to share in fellowship and fond memories. Barnes Funeral Chapel, 5825 St Hwy 109 in Delta has been entrusted with arrangements.  Interment will be private.  Those wishing a show of sympathy are asked to consider contributions to the family, c/o Brandon Gibson, 1765 County Road 5, Delta, OH 43515.  Online condolences may be sent to the family through our website at www.barnesfuneralchapel.com.
