Virginia Armbruster, age 92, of Swanton and long time resident of Monclova, passed away at her home early Sunday morning, March 23, 2014.  She was born in Toledo on October 31, 1921, one of four children to the late Victor Gaiser and Agnes (Stamm) Gaiser.  On June 27, 1942 she married Leo Armbruster; whom preceded her in death in 1966.  Virginia was a secretary with the FAA and later with the Air National Guard prior to her retirement.  Virginia was the historian for Monclova United Methodist Church for many years and later attended Shiloh Christian Union Church in Delta.  She was a member of the Ladies Aid Society and volunteered her time with many church organizations.  Virginia is survived by her children, Linda (John) Cooper, Elaine Purse and Keith Armbruster; brother, Charles (Bernice) Gaiser; sister, Marjorie (George) Dick; grandchildren, Allen (Beck) Cooper, Becky (Tracy) Stutz, Sarah (James) Worley, Michael (Kathleen) Purse and Eleni Armbruster and eight great grandchildren.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Gaiser.  Friends and family will be received from 5-8 PM on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at Barnes Funeral Chapel, 5825 St. Hwy. 109 in Delta.  A funeral service for Virginia will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM at Shiloh Christian Union Church, 2100 Co Rd 5, Delta, Ohio 43515.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to Shiloh Christian Union Church Missions or One Mission Society, P.O Box A, Greenwood, IN 46142 in Virginia' memory.  Interment will follow at Swan Creek Cemetery in Monclova at 2:00 PM on Friday.  Online condolences may be sent to the family through our website at www.barnesfuneralchapel.com.
