Beverly June (Dillard) Pettengill

Beverly J. Pettengill, age 73, of Delta, peacefully passed away at her home under hospice care with her loving family and friends by her side on Thursday evening, October 19, 2023.  She was born in Toledo on September 25, 1950 to the late William A. Dillard and Goldie (Crabtree) Dillard.  Beverly graduated from Waite High School in 1968.  On February 15, 1969, she would marry the love of her life, Lawrence Pettengill and together would share 54 years together and be blessed with two children, Marcee and Michael.  Beverly’s working career would begin as a driver’s education instructor for five years.  She would later work for Jobst USA, creating and sewing stockings for burn patients and then be manager at Macy’s Hair Salon for five years.  Beverly would then serve as manager for the Toledo Academy of Beauty Culture before retiring after fifteen years as a license agency clerk for the Wauseon License Bureau.  She enjoyed and was very talented in crocheting, scrap booking and an accomplished seamstress.  Beverly attended Crossroads Evangelical Church in Wauseon.  Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Lawrence “Larry” Pettengill; daughter, Marcee (Robert) Brazier; son, Michael (Denise Nyers) Pettengill; sister, Barbara (Mike) McCowan; grandchildren, Aaron (Kendra) Brazier, Megan (Jared) Feller, Emily Brazier and Alex Nyers; great granddaughter, Amelia Brazier and many dear friends.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant brother, William A. Dillard.  Friends and family will be received from 5:00 PM -8:00 PM on Monday, October 23, 2023 at Barnes Funeral Chapel and Crematory, 5825 St Hwy 109 in Delta.  A funeral service honoring her life will begin at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, also at the funeral home.  Interment will follow at Winameg Cemetery in Delta.  Those wishing a show of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions to Ohio Living Hospice, 1730 S.
