Claudia Lou Guimond

Claudia L. Guimond, age 83, passed away in her home early Tuesday morning, February 9, 2021 surrounded by her loving family.  Claudia was born in Carlisle, Kentucky on December 31, 1937 to the late Stanley and Frances (Taylor) Hardin.  She married Alvin Guimond on January 12, 1963 and together they raised two children.  A graduate of the Fugazzi Business College, she served as the office manager for Haley Electric, while also working as Clerk of Counsel for the Village of Waterville retiring in 2008.  In her spare time she enjoyed reading, working in her garden and watching bluebirds nesting in her backyard.  She also enjoyed doing Water Aerobics at Sunshine Children’s Home.  Claudia was also voted as Waterville’s Hometown Hero in 2006.  Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 58 years, Al; sons, Philip (Shannon) Guimond; Tim (Lisa) Guimond; grandchildren, Lance, Andrew, Alexis, Lauren and Morgan.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Bill Hardin and her sister, Theresa Sexton.  In keeping with the family’s wishes, there will be no services.   Arrangements are entrusted to Barnes Funeral Chapel, 5825 St. Hwy. 109 in Delta.  Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Ohio Living Home Health and Hospice, 1730 S.
