Orval “OD” Snyder, age 74, of Liberty Center, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2018, at Henry County Hospital. OD was born in Oregon, Ohio to the late Orville and Ruth (Kibbe) Snyder. He met and married the love of his life Charleen Kennedy on August 10, 1973. He worked as an operations manager for Campbell Soup for over 36 years. In his spare time, OD was involved in many community activities. Among these were past president of the Liberty Center Athletic Boosters; Cub Master of troop 166; retired fireman for the Liberty Center Volunteer Fire Department; Past Chairman of the Liberty Center Summerfest; member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 300; being an acme baseball coach and belonging to many bowling leagues. When he could, he was also an avid fisherman. In addition to his parents, Orville and Ruth, he was preceded in death by sisters, Marie Williams; Alice Cavazos and brother, John Snyder. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 45 years, Charleen; children, Kevin (Kristy) Snyder; Kent (Jamie) Snyder; Kendall Rohrs; grandchildren, Hayden Wiseman; Kody Snyder; Mitchell Rohrs; Konner Snyder; Taylor Snyder and great grandchild, Emma Wiseman; siblings, Loretta Durdel; Julie Jurski; Liz Howe; Mary (Sam) Meglitsch; Bill Snyder; Pat Maciezewski and Nan Montford. In keeping with the family wishes, there will be no public visitations or services and burial will be private. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Liberty Center Fire Department; Liberty Center Athletic Boosters; the Henry Count Senior Center or a charity of the donor’s choice.
