Joann, Jill and Beth,
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your families at this difficulty time. I cannot think of all the family trips and visits without Dale  giving directions. Wether it be "how" to fall off a sailboat or "how not " to drink milk out of your cereal bowl!! Your family was a big part of our memories growing up and they will not be forgotten by the Swy family. Dale will be greatly missed.

Dear Joann,Beth, and Jill.
We were so sad to hear of Dales passing. When I look back at my childhood memories, Dale and you all are a huge part of them. Whether it was riding around Posey lake on the pontoon, or Dale trying to teach me how to ski behind the little red and white speed boat, we were always having fun. I so remember Dales right to the point instructions of, let go of the rope when you fall trying to ski! Apparently I was  a little slow learning that part! I also remember all of the camping trips to northern Michigan. You guys had your red ford truck and a Terry camper. Dale would be outside in the morning cooking breakfast on his Coleman stove, many times under a tarp while it rained. And it wouldn't be a weekend without the Tigers game on the radio. I could go on for awhile, but won't. Dale will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by the Swy family. We are so blessed to have had you all as such dear friends for so many years.
God bless you all during this difficult time and please know that you have many friends thinking of you and praying for you.

Dale was what we in the amateur radio community call  a "Elmer" or mentor. Dale was my Elmer. He instilled a ethic of quality in not just your operating procedure as a radio operator, but in everything you put your hands to. I can still very vividly remember two expressions I had heard from him on more than one occasion. "Take your time boy & do it right, that's your name going on that! " And the one that made the most influence on me "If you can build it, you can fix it" A man that was such a  "Bench mark" of what makes a great man, the world so rarely sees come along. Dale You will be so deeply missed. Our thoughts and Prayers go out to JoAnn (one of the worlds classiest ladies ever)  and Dales family.

I was honored to know him, starting back with the Toledo Radio Club and when he moved to Delta.

I went to some hamfests with Dale, he was such a pleasure to be around. I am certain heaven is a better place with the addition of Dale. So sorry for your loss. God Bless your family  7 3 Dale.

We are so sorry for your family's loss, Dale might bristle at this
description, but he was an institution here in the county and an
inspiration to us all in the amateur radio community, causing us to
set goals to be the best operators that we could.  His dedication to
his craft was high, his patience for us "young bucks" was steady
and firm.  The path of alzheimers is a rough and tumble way, to be
followed by more of us than some know, and we empathize with
you and hope that you all may acquire some peace now.

The best fist in the Fulton County ARC is now silent...
