Barnes Funeral Chapel prioritizes the health and well-being of our associates and guests. We understand this is a fluid situation and are monitoring and evaluating developments of the coronavirus (COVID-19).
We and the State of Ohio still believe that gathering and supporting one another at a time of loss is important which is why the State of Ohio has exempted funerals from the public gathering ban. In an effort to comply with the CDC’s most recent recommendations of social distancing, all funeral and memorial services will be strictly private. Beginning May 22, 2020, families will have the option to have a public visitation with guidelines required to keep all in attendance safe. All events public and private will have restricted attendance based on space to accommodate social distancing requirements issued by the State of Ohio.
**In order to protect all guests and associates, and to comply with the Responsible Restart Ohio initiative, we respectfully ask all individuals entering our facility to wear a face covering at all times. The face covering must fully cover your nose and mouth.
We do ask that those at risk or those not feeling well stay home, but reach out to the family via the memorial webpage on www.BarnesFuneralChapel.com. If you are attending private services, please follow the CDC recommendations below.
We encourage you to follow the CDC recommendation to take the usual steps to help prevent the spread of illness:
